In dance worlds news this week, Lam Chun-wing was the first Chinese person to be hired at the Paris Opera Ballet in the 346 years it has been opened. This is an important event because it shows how diversity in dance has changed in the world today. It also shows that all dancers are treated as one because despite his race, he is changing the world one step at a time. Lastly, he changed gender stereotypes because he is a man doing ballet.
